The Orange Box includes five games:
Half-Life 2 – You once again play as research scientist Gordon Freeman, who finds himself on an Earth overrun by alien forces. With the planet’s resources depleted and its population dwindling, Freeman is forced into the role of saving the world from the disaster he helped unleash at Black Mesa. Many lives depend on him, including those he cares about most.
Half-Life 2: Episode One – Picking up immediately after the events of Half-Life 2, Freeman faces the consequences of his actions in City 17 and the Citadel. He reunites with Alyx Vance and her robot companion, Dog, to continue supporting the resistance against the Combine.
Half-Life 2: Episode Two – The story continues as Freeman travels to new areas outside City 17. This second episode pushes the narrative forward in Valve’s episodic trilogy.
Portal – A unique single-player action game that challenges players to think differently about how they move through and manipulate the game world, similar to how Half-Life 2’s Gravity Gun changed object interaction.
Team Fortress 2 – A completely revamped version of the classic team-based multiplayer game. It features a bold new art style and the most advanced graphics of any Source engine game released at the time.
